National Food Insecurity Rates by Year

Food insecurity rates in the United States were trending down before the pandemic. Though federal aid helped curb a rise in hunger, data from Feeding America of all 50 states and D.C. projects that 2021 will see the highest rate of food insecurity in eight years.
