Venita Hawthorne James, a former editor and executive at The Arizona Republic, has been a journalism professor with the Cronkite School for more than five years. She has taught broadcast and digital reporters who cover sustainability, business, politics and social justice for Cronkite News. Hawthorne James is a former executive board member for ASU’s Committee for Campus Inclusion.
